When we were given the opportunity to support a Christ-centered organization that supports moms, the answer was, “of course, yes!” The Trotter House, a local non-profit that supports women and families with unplanned pregnancies and beyond, hosted a day of mini sessions for their clients. We were honored to get to record these moments and milestones for them!
They’re committed to serving the University of Texas community and strive to be the main point of contact for those who need help and to build a culture of life. They also offer a place for those who need to fulfill their community service. They are definitely staffed and assisted by a crew with giving and supportive hearts! Families and single parents come and receive counseling, parenting support, have the chance for assistance with material needs like diapers, clothing, etc.
They have felt the effects of the COVID lockdown, but, as they put it, they’ve been more supported than ever by their community and by God because of successful donation drives.
To get to see the interaction between the kids and their moms was endearing. There’s nothing like a mom to make you feel comfortable and safe and happy and loved! In addition to blessing the families that participated in the mini sessions, some of the photographs were used in a calendar as part of one of their giving campaigns.
