A session photographed at our Driftwood, Texas outdoor photography studio
We loved getting to host Christina and Rusty for their engagement session! They’re a really fun, very laid-back couple and they were so game to have fun in front of our cameras!
Just a few tips for outdoor engagement sessions here in Central Texas:
It’s not our everyday thing to spend time in front of a professional’s camera either, so we get it if you don’t know what to do with your hands or feet or smile or no smile…that’s very normal and perfectly ok! We’ll take the time together to make sure you’re at ease and having fun with each other. It won’t take very long before you’re comfortable. So first tip: come ready to have fun and leave any anxieties behind.
So many of our couples love Texas Hill Country views for their sessions. And it is the great outdoors, so we need to consider all that goes with the view. The ground, of course, can be uneven so a little prep helps. Planning on wearing heels during the session? Bring a pair of close-toed flats to wear when we go from site to site. It’s simple and easy way to stay comfortable.
Speaking of outdoors, two words: bug spray. Enough said.
Golden hour is a pretty sweet time for any photo session so we try to make sure we schedule a session so we can get some of that pretty, pretty light in the mix. I think you can see what it does!
