This was one of those weddings that were the I-can’t-stand-waiting-to-shoot them kind. I met Kathleen and Angel through their family friends’ wedding, Robie and Aaron‘s, that we’d photographed years before. Considering how much fun it was to photograph Kathleen and Angel’s engagement session, you can see why I felt this way. It was so awesome to get to work with more amazing people!
Their families were absolutely wonderful, warm and welcoming. Their kind natures came through in both Angel and Kathleen: they’re both so caring of each other and for other people. They were so ecstatic to get married! It was so cute to watch them hold hands and grin at each other and have fun celebrating with everyone. SO cute.
Kathleen’s elegant style came through in her simple gown, Badgley Mischka shoes and accessories. Happy yellow and classic grey showed in the bouquets, boutonnieres, the bridesmaids gowns and the groomsmen’s ties. Their passion for the great outdoors and camping came through in their reception details. Each table was marked with the name of a state or national park and was decorated with old-school kerosene lamps and other details to give them an outdoorsy feel. One absolutely darling detail: their first dance was choreographed by Kathleen’s brother.
Enjoy the wedding day of two happy campers!
