Adan and Family’s Itty Bitty Mini Session

When friends do an Itty Bitty Mini Session? It’s the best! And when there’s an itty bitty little one involved that’s better than the best! These are some of my favorites from their session. I must say, it was ridiculously cute to capture a couple of brand new bottom teeth a few times. Besides knuckle dimples and middle-of-the-arm rolls, the cutest thing on babies is brand new teeth. Right?

Helen and Wes’ The Creek Haus Wedding ~ Austin Wedding Photographers

The story of the day Helen and Wes tied the knot at their Creek Haus wedding.

Hang on, scratch that. The “day” was technically a four-day weekend and the wedding was just one of those four epic days. Pretty much the most awesome thing ever: stretch a wedding day into a wedding weekend. Result? More time spent with the people you love and who love you back.

Helen and Wes did a lot of their research well ahead of time and decided that they’d have an amazing getaway-to-the-Hill-Country celebration with their closest friends and family. The perfect venue came in the form of The Creek Haus, one of the newest venues in the Wedding Capitol of Texas, Dripping Springs. Not only could The Creek Haus offer naturally beautiful outdoors—creekside!—for their ceremony and a crazy pretty reception space, but they could also house most of them for the entire weekend. How fun is that? It was just another opportunity for both their families to get together and strengthen their 15-year shared history through Helen and Wes.

Each and every detail of their wedding was not just elegant but mostly thoughtful. Colorful throws were provided when the weather turned a bit chilly. Lush greenery and flowers were featured in the bouquets and boutonnieres as well as the dining tables and the decor throughout the venue. Late night popcorn with personalized bags were set out for guests who wanted a little extra energy to keep dancing the night away. It was all pretty amazing and everything just showed a sense for real hospitality and lots of warm and cozy.

These are the amazing vendors that brought the elegant affair to life:

February Itty Bitty Mini Sessions

Because why not?
Because don’t we want a little excuse to get out there and get some real, pretty pictures?

Be the first to snag a time slot over here.

More fun pictures? Enabler needed for that? I’m your huckleberry.

And yes, I’ll have that blanket with me for these sessions. We will be warm! We will be cozy! You will be awesome!

Mini sessions will be 20 minutes long and are just $225 plus tax (total of 243.56) for 10 images in an online gallery for you to download. Additional images can be purchased at $30 each. The high resolution images from your session will be available within a week and you’ll have the digital files by Valentine’s Day. You will have personal printing rights to them, too!

WHO

You! Happy-in-love couples, parents who need photos to send to grandparents, anyone who thinks photos of winter in Austin is a fun idea (I know you’re out there).

WHEN

We are scheduling these for Feb. 4, 2016 and during the week on Feb. 6-9 with limited time slots. In case of rain, we will move sessions to alternate time slots, dates to be determined by your schedule and mine.

WHERE

These sessions will take place at Circle C Metropolitan Park in southwest Austin near the corner of Slaughter and Escarpment. It’s easy to get to, parking is simple and it’s a very short walk to some lovely spots for photos.

HOW

To book your slot, please click on your preferred time slot here (slots will be reserved on a first-come basis).

Once I have been notified of your selection, I will send you a link to an online contract for you to sign and a link to submit your payment electronically via Paypal.

What should we wear?
The short story: be comfortable put on something red.
The long answer: We’re going for a Valentine theme this time around so put on something Valentine-y. You get to decide exactly what that means to you! I’ll have the blanket in the photo above if you’d like to use it but you certainly don’t have to. Just comfortable in what you’re in. Some folks opt for dressy or super casual. Come in costume! Why not? Just bear a few things in mind when you’re deciding. First, we will be outdoors. So if you pick heels, be sure to bring flats with you to walk from the car to the site where we’ll be taking photos. Second: one outfit only, please 🙂

How many people can we fit into one session?
The short story: as many as you bring.
The long answer: We can certainly fit in a big group. But since our time is limited, the number of poses will be limited as well. A full session would be best if you have a large family. That will ensure that we can get one or two poses for each smaller, immediate family group.

Can we bring our pets?
The short story: yes.
The long answer: You guys know I love having pets along at sessions which is why I make sure the location is pet-friendly. But as with regular length sessions, I request that you have a handler for them so we can take a few shots sans furry family members. The handler becomes especially important if your fur babies have a limited attention span. Please be sure to bring a bag for “oops” moments, too.

Can we bring any props?
The short story: of course!
The long answer: Please, do. Props to tell your 2016 story would be lovely to share with everyone who’ll see your images. I do recommend you limit how much you bring, though, and consider ease of carrying them so we don’t affect our shooting time. Also, please only bring what you can carry home with you. No confetti or things that are impossible to clean up. We want to be respectful of our surroundings, of course 🙂

What if we’re late?
The short story: please don’t be 😉
The long answer: Things happen and sometimes you can’t make it on time. I do recommend that you plan to arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to avoid this and to make sure you can find the location and parking. But since we have a very limited amount of time, if you are late, we will deduct that amount of time from your session. We may not have as many images to deliver, but we’ll do our best. Of course.

Get in touch at smile@mercedesmorgan.com if you need help. I’m excited to get to see you all and make February 2017 memories!
