Austin Family Photographer for the S Family

Sweetest opportunity ever: to get to be Austin family photographer for friends.

Erica got in touch with me because her parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Fifty years, you guys! That’s an impressively long time to be together. I think they’re too cute! We had a great time which is impressive considering how early we had them meet us at a local park. Pretty much the sweetest thing to get to document this many generations in one photo shoot.

It was a blast to get to do these with Jesse by my side! We both enjoyed working with all the S. family members and getting behind-the-scenes little snippets of Lola and Makayla’s interaction. The cousins are way too cute together! And do you not just love the flower crowns by Chelsey made? I mean, ChelseyMade! She’s so creative, I love it and can’t help but want to plug her Etsy shop.

We did so many group shots of each family and couple but we wanted to share some of our favorites.

I think real, lovely photographs are a great way to celebrate a significant milestone, don’t you? Too precious! Oftentimes, mom or dad are often the ones behind the camera so there’s not that many images to remember them by. A session with the entire family is a great way to make sure you all have real, lovely images of everyone together. Let’s make it happen!

Cassie ~ Austin Portrait Photographer

Have I ever mentioned how intimidating it is to photograph another photographer? Well it can be! But Cassie was amazing. She’s the owner of Effjay Photography and one of the entrepreneurs behind The Sparked Workshop. She travels often for her businesses so it was pretty sweet of her to get up at crack o’ dawn o’clock to model for some photos. I think she’s awfully nice.

So she’s extra nice because she didn’t freak out when I told her I wanted to shoot through some spider webs. High fives and all my admiration, Cassie!!

Vicky Dripping Springs High School ~ Austin Senior Photographer

This girl! I’ve known Vicky and family for years now so it meant so much when she asked me to be her Austin senior photographer.

She’s the best! It has been a ton of fun to see her over the years volunteer to work at our church’s VBS or, more recently, the sound booth. She’s brilliant, of course, and is planning on majoring in engineering when she heads out to University of Colorado in the Fall. All her cats and dogs will miss her to bits (and so will mom and dad, of course)!

When she isn’t studying for chemistry, she loves to find great spots in Austin for coffee and conversation. And fun walls. In case you were wondering, Friends and Neighbors has really good coffee and all kinds of fun artisan gifts and clothing and art inside. Like embroidered unicorns. What’s not to like, really?

Here are a few of my favorites from her session…
