A wedding styled shoot for Austin Wedding Style Magazine.
I’m so excited that I get to finally share these images from our Alfonse Mucha-inspired styled shoot. It was an incredible feeling to have an entire team truly love the concept behind the shoot. Not only did they embrace the concepts in my style board but they ran with them!
When I was itty bitty, my parents took us to our an arts and crafts expo that happened to be in town. Walking down one of the many aisles, we came across this gorgeous, huge poster. I mean, it was taller than my mom was. Or that’s what it felt like. My parents brought her home and she sat above the liquor cabinet in the dining room that was never opened except to deposit gifts of alcohol that stood there and looked pretty. Just like the poster. Mucha’s aesthetic and style have been an influence to me since and anything French Art Nouveau will make my heart flutter.
That such an amazing, talented team came together and fully embraced the theme was such an awesome thing. They deserve a huge hug and thanks. So here they are:
Jennifer Ashford of Altar Ego Weddings, organizer extraordinaire
Keirsten Shivers of Altar Ego Weddings, our model
Ma Maison, our venue (so perfect for our theme), and gracious host
Kayli of The Bloom Bar, for the incredible floral artwork
Kristi of Cakes ROCK for the incredible cake artistry
Lavish Beauty, gorgeous hair and make up
Melange Bridal, wedding gown
Marquee Event Rentals, table settings and fabrics
Simply Personal, invitation suite
Keirsten was absolutely stunning in the gown from Austin’s Melange Bridal salon. Jen did an amazing job on her hair and makeup. We also wanted to be sure to take some images of Ma Maison’s patio with its lovely lighting and greenery. This venue is amazing! Kayli went out of her way to make not only the floral arrangements but the arm band and hair accessories that Keirsten wore. Kristi absolutely, positively ROCKED this cake and it is over-the-top beautiful! She made every singe one of the flowers herself. And Jennifer did an amazing job of not only assembling a team but making sure everything went well. So well.
